It was Easter fun at the Kingslein's house after church on Sunday afternoon. The kids had a blast hunting for eggs, not to mention all the cool toys, trampoline and swings all around. Avery was so upset when we left, saying he wanted to play there all day till it got dark. Thankfully he followed his sister's lead and fell asleep soon after we loaded up for the trip home. Sandy and her friends are lots of fun, making the day just as fun for the adults as the kids including cascaronnes with hidden dollar bills if you're lucky!
Saturday was a gorgeous day at Aunt Shelly's house. We spent most of the day soaking in the hot tub which was a little warmer than the pool itself. Just because the sun in shining doesn't mean that it's pool weather just yet, but try telling that to a 4 year old who refused to wear anything other than his swim trunks for the drive to Austin. Ella even made her swimsuit debut but it took awhile for her to remember what a swimming pool was. She was more timid than we expected but give her time. She'll be a fish like her brother. Avery dyed some Easter eggs, getting better with each year. Ella watched on curiously but at the end she had to give it a shot and grabbed an egg and threw it in a cup of dye before any of us could stop her. Then she was satisfied. It was quite funny.
The weekend before we were so happy to have Grandma Trish and her crew of boys stay a few days with us during their Spring Break travels. Coleman, Cameron and 2 exchange students, Morton from Denmark and Alvero from Germany, kept us all entertained, especially Avery. So much so that he brought mom to tears after they left. He managed to create quite the attachment to Alvero. I hope we showed them how we do it in Texas- grill alot and live outside. Thankfully it was the perfect weekend and we loved every minute of it.

Today was Avery's official birthday however we have been celebrating since Friday and will continue through this week. He had a cupcake birthday with his friends at school on Friday followed by a fun family birthday party at Aunt Shelly's house on Saturday. Grammie made Avery's cake of choice, a rocket ship, and we all swam and played outside enjoying a perfect Texas "spring" day. (More like summer, hot, hot!)
We came home on Sunday just in time for his friend Michael's birthday party at Gametown pizza. Now it's packing for Tuesday evening when we leave for FL to see Grandma and Grandpa S and Aunt Stephers to enjoy our BIG present which is a trip to Walt Disney World. Us adults are way more excited than Avery right now since really doesn't know what to expect and truth is I just might cry when I see how excited he is walking down Main Street USA for the 1st time!
