Grandma Trish came in town and stayed with us for a few days last week.
She got to meet Ella for the 1st time and had plenty of play time with Avery. (It makes me tired just thinking about everything they did.)
The hit of the weekend was making
Pinkalicious cupcakes. I bought this book to read to Ella since we never had a reason to own any
girlie books until now. The story is cute; about a little girl that turns pink from eating too many cupcakes and she called herself
Pinkalicious.
To our surprise (and dad's dismay), Avery took a liking to the book right away and only after having read it to him a couple times, has it all but memorized. Trish thought it would be really fun to dive into the story and have Avery make his own pink cupcakes! As you can see in the picture, he has his tongue out while he is icing them so you know he is concentrating hard!
