This weekend we packed up and headed to the Texas coast for some fun in the sun with Wade's family in Port Aransas. The weather was perfect, all sunny days with a good breeze. The kids had a blast going back and forth between the pool and the beach. The condo was perfect, plenty of room for everyone to spread their wings and relax, and oceanside which was beautiful in the evenings to relax on the balcony. Ella wasn't happy about the waves and the sand between her toes but by Saturday afternoon she loosened up a bit and let us hold her in the water as she laughed as she "hit" the waves. We never got her in the ocean to swim but next time I'm sure she will be ready. She was happy enough playing by the water in the sand with her brother making drip castles. Avery is a real fish and surprised us with his swimming abiliies in the shallow pool. He swam under the water half the length of the pool at a time and was loving it. Thanks Sandy for organizing this family vacation. Now it's off to Pittsburgh and Cochranton for our family reunion this weekend. Stay tuned...
